There are some neat moves to unleash, brutal counters and a high level of gritty gore when he does come out swinging. It seemed to be somewhat generic upon initial glance, yet there’s a groovy style that really works for this one and the animations bring a certain level of enjoyment out of this character. The Joker, is now a DLC playable character in the game and is voiced by the original voice actor. It wasn’t one that I’d expect to be too interested in, but I found myself really enjoying this version of him. Mortal Kombat 11 being one of them has just been released. Mortal Kombat 11's latest addition brings the Joker into the spotlight being an unhinged and straight up vicious take on the character. ![]() The white suit was definitely different, yet on brand. The outfit matches that, with of course variants being available. Going back to the look, this is a slim and cynical version. It’s great, and just a lot of fun to play as. It also seems like this individual is just having a grand time, and the smooth moves make each hit feel so cool. It’s hard to describe, but undeniably the Joker in every way. Then from there he’s got familiar spins, and acts in a sort of pompous way almost. There’s also a really special hard hitting scene that splats blood, then more, and then covers the screen which is striking. It’s never silly either despite perhaps sounding so, they have a neat layering of gritty aesthetics that make it look right. There’s some fun here too, like pulling out a little Batman doll while shooting and they somewhat get all of the characteristics of this jokester quite well. The hard knocking cane counter to the chin, or pulling out big extend-o-gloves which end in groin hits were certainly a sight. There were some strange moves, and I loved them. This Joker is about cane swings, weird battle tools and a sort of sleek creepy movement. ![]() I wasn’t initially too excited for this addition to the roster, but was pleasantly surprised by his inclusion once I gave it a whirl. This is a gritty, intense and rather darkly comedic version of the character. The roster of Mortal Kombat 11 continues to grow with the inclusion of an iconic DC villain, the Joker.
